The company has been designed as an integrated media platform, by combining the traditional newspaper with a service that provides news and information over mobile devices, the Internet, Radio, as well as other broadcast and digital platforms. There are three divisions:

The Company has been structured to produce integrated content that is of the highest standards, made available through a multitude of sources.. We are a company that will take some risks in the way we create and present our content and we welcome feedback from our readers and constituents so that we are in a constant state of continuous improvement. Because we are accountable to our shareholders, we have implemented sound policies and procedures to ensure that we run an efficient and cost effective operation.
Timbuktu Media was founded in 2004 by Dele Olojede, Africas only Pulitzer Prize winner and former Foreign Editor of the New York Newsday. Deles career spans three continents and some 85 countries, and his work has appeared in more than 100 of the worlds leading newspapers and magazines. Mr. Olojede serves as the CEO and Publisher of the group. Timbuktu Media is primarily institution-funded, in addition to a small group of private investors, with little input as to the editorial direction of the company. These private investors have no say in the editorial policy or direction of the company, which is in the hands of highly accomplished editors and business executives.
